Statement: Yes it is possible that displacement is 0 but not the distance .

During linear motion displacement covered by a body  will be equal to  distance.

Displacement is zero but not the distance: for example if a body complete a rotation along a circular path then the displacement covered by the body will be 0 but not the distance because it's starting and ending point is same .

The distance will never be 0 if a body travel distance from one point to another point.

Condition in which displacement will be equal to the distance: if a body is moving along a straight path then the magnitude of displacement will be equal to the distance covered by the body.

                      ....................................

Explaination: Displacement refers to the change in position of an object, taking into account its initial and final positions. It is a vector quantity and includes both magnitude and direction.

On the other hand, distance is a scalar quantity that refers to the total path length traveled by an object, without considering its direction. It is always positive or zero and does not take into account the starting and ending points.

In some cases, an object can travel a certain distance and end up at the same position it started, resulting in a displacement of zero.

Example: For example if a person walks in a circular path and returns to the starting point, their displacement will be zero because they have not changed their position overall. However, the distance traveled will be equal to the circumference of the circle.

Conclusion: Therefore it is possible in circular path that displacement is zero but not the distance. distance
